What Should I Draw Wheel

If you’re an aspiring artist—or even just a hobbyist looking to pass time—it can be a bit tough to pick what image to draw. Some things can be a bit too difficult (like a landscape) while some can be relatively easy (like a vase!). We have made the What Should I Draw wheel to help you with this choice.

This wheel helps you pick a random subject to draw. It can be anything from a plant, tree, or mountain to a plane, car, or ship. Our drawing spinner helps you save time and effort in making your choice so that you can get started with the drawing part as quickly as possible.

How Can I Use the Drawing Wheel?

Our drawing wheel is quick and easy to use. Here is how you can do it:

  • To get started, you first have to enter the entries (text or images) that you need to randomly choose from. There are some already added by default, but you can edit them if needed.
    • To add entries, simply click on the input box on the side of the wheel and type out the name of the object you want to pick from.
    • You can also add an image (like a sample drawing) to the wheel and make it an entry. To do so, click on the “Add Image” button and then choose “Add Image as Entry.
    • There is also an “Advanced Mode” that you can enable to add the entries with more options. In the Advanced Mode, you can click on the “Add New Entry” button at the very bottom.
  • If you need to, you can edit the existing entries and customize their text/appearance to fit your requirements and preferences. Here are some of the elements that you can change in the entries:
    1. Background color: You can customize the background color of all the entries to make your wheel unique and aesthetic.
    2. Section weight: Our wheel provides an option to increase the weight of the individual slices. You can make certain slices in the wheel bigger or smaller than the others. This allows you to change the probability of the selection. (Bigger slices will have a greater chance of being selected.)
    3. Advanced options: For each slice in the wheel, there is a list of Advanced options that allow you to change the sound, winner message, and visibility. You can also duplicate the slices or delete them from the list.
  • You can change the During Spin settings to adjust how the wheel acts when the spinning process is initiated. To access the During Spin settings, click on the Settings button below the wheel. In these settings, you can do the following:
    1. Enable or disable the sound of the wheel during the spin.
    2. Choose whether duplicate entries are displayed once or multiple times.
    3. Select the Spin Slowly option to make the wheel move slowly instead of whirring around at a fast speed.
    4. You can adjust the total time for which the wheel spins, in seconds. The shortest time limit is 1 second, and the longest is 60 seconds.
    5. Last but not least, you can specify the total number of entries that can be displayed on the wheel at a time. You can set this to 4, 100, 200, all the way up to 1,000. This is the peak limit.
  • Next up, change the After Spin settings to adjust how the results of the spin are provided. There are a number of different options that you can adjust. Below, you can find a description of each:
    1. Sound – This setting allows you to turn the sound effects for the results on or off. You can also adjust the exact sound to be played.
    2. Display popup with message – Enabling this option will show a line of text above the selected entry when the result is shown. You can enter the exact text to be displayed.
    3. Animate winning entry – When this option is enabled, the winning entry is shown with an animation.
    4. Launch confetti – When this option is turned on, there is a burst of confetti as the result is provided.
    5. Auto-remove winner after 5 seconds – This option removes the winning entry after five seconds. This is useful if you want to remove the winning entry so that it is not selected again.
    6. Display the "Hide" button – When this option is enabled, the Hide button is shown in the popup menu once the result of the spin is provided. The Hide button temporarily hides the winning entry from the wheel so that it is not selected again. However, the entry remains in the list. If you refresh the page, it will start showing up again on the wheel as well.
    7. Display the "Remove" button – Similar to the Hide button, the Remove button is used to remove the winning entry from the wheel. However, once the winning entry is removed, it is not kept in the wheel or in the list. To add it again, you have to manually type in the text and make the customizations.
    8. Play a click sound when the winner is removed – This setting, when enabled, makes a click sound when the winning entry is removed from the wheel. This helps you know when the entry is removed so that you can start the spin again.
  • After all of these settings have been adjusted, you can Sort and Shuffle the entries before starting the spin. By clicking on the Sort button, the entries will be organized alphabetically, while the Shuffle button scrambles the entries in a random manner.
  • Once you are satisfied with the wheel’s settings and appearance, you can start the spin. To spin the wheel drawing, click on the wheel (or tap, if you are on mobile) or use the CTRL + Enter shortcut.
  • Wait for the spin to complete, and then the results will be provided. You will then be able to save the results to your device, hide and remove the winning entry, and start over.

This is the process of using our drawing picker wheel. Although there are many steps involved, there is nothing overly complicated or complex that you have to worry about.
