Here is a guide on how you can use all the various functions and features of our spinner wheel.

1. Insert text/entries into the wheel

There are two different ways in which you can insert text/entries into the picker wheel.

• In the simple mode, you can click on the input field, press Enter or Return to start a new line, and then add the text. This will automatically add a new entry to the wheel.

• In the Advanced mode (which you can enable by clicking on the “Advanced” button), you can click on the “Add New Entry” button at the bottom.

Our decision wheel also allows you to input an image to the wheel as a regular entry. Click on the Add Image button and then select “Add image as entry.”

2. Edit and modify the entries

Once added, you can edit and customize the entries. Here are some of the options that you can use:

• You can change the weight of the entries to make them bigger or smaller on the choice wheel.
• You can change the background color of each slice on the wheel. There is a wide color gamut that you can choose from. The color of the font will become black or white depending on the background.
• You can also change the sound that each slice makes when it is selected by the wheel.
• The exact winner message/victory message can also be changed for each entry.
• Instead of changing the background color, you can also add a background image for each slice.

You can also use all of these various functions and options to fully customize the entries.

Note: The “Toggle Visibility” button lets you hide or show a particular slice on the wheel.

3. Customize the decision maker wheel’s appearance

Here is how you can customize the appearance of the choice picker wheel to suit your exact needs and preferences:

• Click on “Add Image” and then choose “Add background image” to set a picture for the entire wheel’s background. This will override the individual background colors for each slice.
• Click on “Add center image” to place a picture on the center button of the wheel picker.

4. Sort and shuffle the slices

If needed, you can sort and shuffle the slices in the wheel.

• The Sort button will arrange all the entries in the wheel alphabetically.
• The Shuffle button will scramble the entries to make their order random.

5. Start the process by clicking on the wheel or pressing CTRL + Enter

Once you have made all the modifications to the picker wheel, spin the wheel by clicking on the center of the wheel. You can also use the CTRL + Enter key combination to start the process. Wait for a few seconds while the wheel completes the spin and picks one of the entries.

6. Pick any of the four options provided at the output screen

After the wheel completes the spin and provides the output, there are four options that you can use:

• Hide slice: This option will hide the slice from being shown in the wheel spinner. The details for the slice will still be visible in the list but it won’t appear in the wheel. This option is useful if you want to spin the wheel again but don’t want the same slice to be selected.
• Remove slice: This option will remove the slice from the list altogether. You will have to re-enter it if you want to make it appear in the wheel.
• Play again: Clicking on this button will initiate the spin again.
• Download results: You can download the results of the spin to your device as a PNG image file. The image will show the selected winner of the spin in a colorful and stylish format.

Customize Spinner Wheel’s Appearance and Settings

Other than the customization options discussed above, there are many other things that you can do with the wheel spinner as well. You can find various customization features and functions in the Settings menu. Below, we will provide an explanation for all of those functions so that you can easily use them as per your needs.

1. Title

In the Title tab, you can change the following:

• Name of the wheel: You can give a name to the wheel so that it is easy for you to remember what function it serves. For example, if you’re making teams, you can name the wheel, the Team Picker.
• Description of the wheel: You can also change the description of the wheel in the settings.
• Title visibility: You can click on the “Show Title” button to choose whether the title is shown for the wheel or not.

2. During Spin

There are numerous adjustments you can make to the During Spin the Wheel settings:

1. Sound: There are two settings you can change in the sound options.

• Sound type: You can change the exact sound effect of the spin.
• Sound volume: You can also change the volume of the sound.

2. Display duplicate: This setting decides if duplicate slices are shown repeatedly on the wheel or not.

3. Spin slowly: When this setting is enabled, the wheel spins slowly.

4. Spin time: This allows you to set the total spinning time.

5. Max number of slices visible on the screen: You can specify the maximum number of slices that can be shown on the wheel at a time.

3. After Spin

These settings allow you to adjust how the output is provided at the end of the spinning wheel.

1. Sound: You can change the sound that plays when the result is provided.

2. Volume: This setting lets you change the volume of the sound.

3. Display message with popup: You can toggle this setting on or off. If enabled, you can change the exact message to be displayed with the popup.

4. Animate winning entry: When this setting is enabled, the winning entry is shown with a flashy animation.

5. Launch confetti: When enabled, the chosen entry is displayed with a confetti animation. This makes the result more stylish and colorful.

6. Auto-remove winner after 5 seconds: When this setting is enabled, the selected slice (winner) of the spin is removed from the wheel after 5 seconds.

7. Display the Hide button: When this option is enabled, the Hide Slice button will not be shown when the results are provided.

8. Display the Remove button: When this option is enabled, the Remove Slice button is not shown along with the output.

9. Play a click sound when the winner is removed: With this option, a sound effect is played when the winner is removed from the wheel.

4. Appearance

The Appearance settings allow you to change the look of the random decision maker wheel before spinning it. There are a few different things that you can do here, including:

• Spinning Wheel Background: You can choose between the standard default background or you can upload one from your local storage.
• Draw Outlines: This option can be selected/de-selected. When selected, all the slices in the wheel have an outline drawn around them.
• Center Wheel Background: You can choose the default background for the center wheel button, or you can upload an image file from your local storage.
• Center Wheel Image Size: You can choose from different sizes for the center wheel, ranging from extra large to extra small.

Save and Load Wheels

Wheel Spinner X allows you to save wheels to your profile so that you can load them easily later on. For example, if you have spent a lot of time adjusting the settings on a particular wheel and you don’t want to just lose it, you can save it to your profile.

How to Save a Wheel to Your Account

Here are the steps that you can follow to save a wheel spinner to your profile.

• First, you need to have an account on Wheelspinnerx.com. You can make one using your email and a password. Or, you can use your Google or Facebook account.
• Once you are signed into your account, click on the “Save” button below the wheel.
• You will be prompted to enter a name and description for the wheel in the provided input boxes.
• You will also be given the choice to override an existing wheel and save the new one in its place.

With these steps, the wheel will be saved to your profile.

How to Load a Wheel in Your Account

Once saved, here is how you can load a wheel from your profile.

• If you aren’t logged in, make sure to do so using your sign-in details.
• Then, click on the “Open” button below the wheel.
• Click on the blue Edit button to load the wheel.
• You can also delete the saved wheel by clicking on the Delete icon next to the Edit button.

Share the Picker Wheel with Others

There are different settings that you can adjust during the sharing process. Here is a quick guide on how you can do it:

• Includes: You can choose whether only the spinning wheel inputs are shared or whether it's Settings or both.
• Once you are done adjusting the above settings, click on the “Generate Share Link” button to create the URL.

After the URL has been generated, you can send it to whoever you want and they will be able to access the spinning wheel according to the settings that you have specified.

View Past Results

You can click on the “Results” tab next to the “Entries” tab to view the previous selections made by the wheel. You can clear the results by clicking on “Clear the Winners.”
